🔹 SPORTS SECTIONS
Cycling
Cycling places high repetitive loads through the spine, hips and knees, which can contribute to back pain, leg symptoms and performance-limiting stiffness.

We support cyclists with bike-related injuries, postural strain and movement restrictions, helping manage pain, improve comfort on the bike and support long-term training.

Running
Running injuries often relate to training load, movement patterns and joint or tendon stress.
We commonly support runners with Achilles pain, plantar fasciitis, knee pain, hip problems and lower back stiffness, helping manage symptoms and guide safe return to training.

Strength & Gym Training
Repetitive lifting, overhead work and high-intensity training can place strain on the shoulders, elbows, spine and wrists.
We support gym-goers and strength athletes with injury management, movement assessment and rehabilitation to help reduce pain and train with confidence.

What do you mean by sports injuries?

Sports injuries refer to pain or injury linked to training, competition, or physical activity. This may include muscle strains, joint pain, overuse injuries, or discomfort related to load, technique, or recovery rather than a single traumatic event.

What types of sports injuries do you commonly see?

We regularly see injuries related to running, cycling, gym training, CrossFit, golf, and team sports.

Common presentations include back pain, knee pain, shoulder issues, tendon-related pain, and movement restrictions affecting performance or recovery.

Can chiropractic care help with sports injuries?

Chiropractic care may help some people with sports injuries by improving joint movement, reducing stiffness, and addressing contributing mechanical factors.

Care is guided by assessment findings and tailored to your sport, training load, and goals.

What happens at the first sports injury appointment?

Your first appointment includes a detailed history, assessment of movement and joint function, and discussion of your sport, training, and symptoms.

We’ll explain our findings clearly and outline appropriate care options. Treatment may begin on the same day if suitable.

Do you work with athletes and active people?

Yes. We work with active individuals across a wide range of levels, from recreational exercisers to competitive athletes.

Our approach focuses on supporting recovery, movement efficiency, and a sensible return to activity.

Will I be given exercises or training advice?

Where appropriate, we may provide exercises, movement guidance, or advice around training load and recovery to support rehabilitation alongside hands-on care.

How long does recovery from a sports injury take?

Recovery time varies depending on the type of injury, how long it has been present, and individual factors such as training demands and recovery capacity.

We’ll review progress regularly and adjust care as needed..

What if my sports injury needs medical treatment instead?

If your assessment suggests that medical investigation or specialist input is required, we’ll advise you accordingly and guide you toward the most appropriate next step.
